Fixed Fee Schedule

Law and Justice Solicitors charges fixed fees for the immigration and asylum work listed below. All fees include VAT at 20%. However, disbursements are not included in these fees and we list them separately below.

We can arrange hearings at other venues on request. You may also instruct counsel on request; counsel’s fees are agreed individually for each case.

Applications for more than one person are charged at an additional 50% of the applicable fee for each additional applicant.

Disbursements

Disbursements are third-party costs charged in addition to our professional fees. We pay these costs directly to external parties on your behalf. These costs may include:

  • Home Office and visa application fees. Current fees are published at gov.uk
  • Court and tribunal fees. Current fees are published at gov.uk
  • Postage
  • Interpreter costs (average £20 to £30 per hour)
  • Translation services
  • Medical report fees
  • Independent expert report fees (not required in all cases; we will advise you if one is necessary)
  • Mileage and travel expenses

This list is not exhaustive. Furthermore, Home Office application fees go directly to the Home Office and fall outside our professional fees.

VAT: All professional fees on this page include VAT at 20%. Home Office fees and most disbursements are exempt from VAT or zero-rated. We will confirm the VAT treatment of any disbursement before it is incurred.

How Long Will My Application Take?

The Home Office sets all processing times. Current waiting times are published at: www.gov.uk/guidance/visa-decision-waiting-times-applications-outside-the-uk

We will normally submit your application within two weeks of receiving instructions. If we expect a delay, we will tell you.
